Online-Therapies.com and Dr. Franklin provide the following counseling options:

E-Mail Exchanges

E-mail correspondence occurs via 40-bit encryption and costs $15.00 for each 15 minutes that he spends reading and composing replies to your questions, problems, or issues. Please review the Client Agreement Form and answer as many questions from the Optional Questionnaire as you're comfortable completing. After reviewing the form, Dr. Franklin will reply by e-mail telling you whether he can help you. If he is able to help you, you will asked to go to his Services and Fees Section and make arrangements to pay. After payment has been received, Dr. Franklin will send you a detailed reply to the questions or problems you presented. Normally, he replies to emails within 12-24 hours of his receipt of it. If Dr. Franklin believes he cannot assist you, he will email you explaining why he cannot help you. Since you have not paid, you're out only the time you spent completing the Client Agreement Form and Optional Questionnaire. Please note that the more detail you provide me initially, the more information he'll have and the less time will be needed to clarify.

Live Instant Messaging Sessions

We can use one of the now familiar chat programs to communicate. Here at Online-Therapies.com we prefer ICQ, although there are many others, such as: AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, and so forth. If you're interested in having a chat session with Dr. Franklin, please understand that it is important for you to be on time. Please schedule a day and time with me, in advance, when you know you will not be interrupted. Please remember that you will be charged when you make the appointment, whether or not you are there. Of course, if you have extenuating circumstances, we will work with you to re-schedule your appointment at no additional cost. If you desire this service, please note this at the bottom of the Client Agreement/Questionnaire Form.

Video Conferencing

Video conferencing is another option available to you. In order to do Video Conferencing, you will need a webcam, a sound card, a microphone, and video-conferencing software. To achieve real-time video, you'll need to be connected to the Internet via DSL or cable. If you have a dial-up connection, you will not be able to see Dr. Franklin in real-time even though his voice would be received in real-time. This is this favorite way to do Online Therapy because we will be able to see and hear each other.

In order to do videoconferencing, you'll need a software program, such as Microsoft NetMeeting. Microsoft NetMeeting is free with Windows 98 and XP. You can find webcams at many stores today. They range in price from $30.00 up to $120.00 If you are interested, CNET has a web site Computers.com. They offer reviews, pricing information, and links to buy a wide range of computer products. Click on the link and select "cameras" and then go to "webcams" to review their selection. While there are many brands available, Intel webcams are perhaps the easiest to setup and use. Logitech has a new model that has a built-in microphone with conversation filtering software. The Logitech model would not require you to purchase a microphone. Lastly, of course, you will need a private place (office or home) and uninterrupted time to speak with Dr. Franklin. Once we've agreed on a day and time, you'll need to pay (using the PayPal link below). You will then use your software program and manually connect with David Franklin at the appointed time. If you have questions about videoconferencing, please contact me by email and we can discuss this option further. While it's not "technically" difficult, it does require some advanced planning and some computer knowledge.

Telephone Consultations

If you prefer, Dr. Franklin can also provide traditional telephone counseling. If you would like to set up a telephone consultation, you will need to pay for both the long-distance telephone call, as well as his session fee, since he does not have a toll-free number.

To schedule a session with Dr. Franklin, please review his Client Agreement and complete as many questions from the Optional Questionnaire Form as you're comfortable answering. Once you have completed everything, he will review your information and contact you by email, typically within a 24 to 48 hour timeframe. David will let you know if he thinks he can help you. If so, you will need to pay by clicking on the PayPal link below. After that, please send him a short note, listing 2-3 days and times when you are available to speak. He'll check his calendar for a mutually convenient time and email you back with the best day and time, along with a telephone number--you then call him on that day and time. It's easy, trust us.

Mail Correspondence

If you desire, you can work with Dr. Franklin by regular letter correspondence. You write out what you wish to talk about and then send the letter to Dr. Franklin via the Post Office. After he receives the letter, he will prepare a reply to your questions, concerns, or problems. There are two ways you can pay Dr. Franklin. You can pay in advance by using the options listed at the bottom of this page or you can send a check or money order along with your letter. This is probably the least used method, but several people have used it over the years.

Fees

Dr. Franklin's standard Online rate is $15.00 (US) for each 15 minutes of time that he spends reading your emails, composing replies, speaking to you on the telephone, or communicating with you via any other means. If you cannot afford his regular fee, please inquire about a sliding-fee scale, which is based on your income and financial situation. As mentioned earlier, if he only spends 15 minutes working with you or composing a reply to you, your only charge will be $15.00 for a reply.

If you are a new client, you will need to read this Client Agreement and complete my Optional Questionnaire Form. As a reminder, Dr. Franklin politely asks that you fill out the optional questionnaire so that he can provide you with the best possible advice. After he reviews the Form, he will send you an email telling you whether he believes you can work together. At that time, you will need to make arrangements to pay him for the amount of time you want him to work on your issues. For payment, Online-Therapy is.com uses a third-party company, which is known as PayPal. They are nationally recognized, with a secure server. This makes your Internet business transactions as safe as presently possible. You can follow the icons below to the PayPal website and select the amount of time you desire.

15 Minutes 30 Minutes 45 Minutes 60 Minutes

$15.00 $30.00 $45.00 $60.00

After arriving at the PayPal site, you will notice that the address at the top of your browser should be have a "s" at the end of the http. The "s" signifies a secure link. Additionally, you will see a lock on the bottom of your web browser. This shows you that their server is, in fact, secure.

The typical payable timeframe usually ranges between 30 and 45 minutes, which would cost between $40.00 and $60.00 But, there are a number of people who pay for an hour of time.
